Conjugated Linoleic Acid – CLA

Conjugated Linoleic Acid or CLA is a slightly altered form of the essential fatty acid linoleic acid. It is found mostly in meats and dairy products. Animal and test tube research shows that CLA may reduce the risks of cancer, although sufficient human research has not been conducted. More animal research has shown that CLA may reduce some food allergies.

As a bodybuilding supplement, CLA has been shown to reduce body fat composition. Some limited human research has not provided any link between CLA and increases in either strength or muscle mass.

Doseage Recommendation: 3.5 grams per day.
